All That Silence Said
Sebastian’s oil paintings often depict personal, serene, and private scenes. He seeks to find the pulse of life through these moments, exploring themes of isolation, self-reflection and sleep.
‘All That Silence Said’ is a collection of works of that silence shared. Titled after the last lines of the poem ‘Home’ by Edward Thomas, they attempt to find contemplation, intimacy, touch and solitude.
These paintings offer themselves as a repose, a window into private moments in response to a world of images of the exposure and theatrics of lives as seen through screens.
